Vucic receives credentials from new ambassador of Brazil: Importance of improvement of cooperation

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic received the credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of Brazil Maria Clara de Abreu Rada, and pointed out that Brazil is one of Serbia's most important political and economic partners in Latin America.

The interlocutors at the same time agreed that this space should be used to improve overall cooperation, and for Brazilian investments.

"I pointed out that Serbia is interested in the continuation of military-economic and scientific-technical cooperation, as well as cooperation in the fields of education, sports, IT sector," Vucic wrote on the Instagram account "buducnostsrbijeav".

The president emphasized that Serbia appreciates and expresses gratitude for Brazil's principled support for the preservation of Serbia's territorial integrity, as well as for the support that country provides to Serbia in international organizations.

"I took the opportunity to invite Brazil to participate in Expo 2027 (in Belgrade). I also asked the ambassador to convey greetings to President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and thank him for the invitation for Serbia's participation in COP30 in Brazil," he said.

Vucic wished the new Brazilian ambassador a successful term in Serbia.

"I am confident that we will continue to work on strengthening overall relations and improving all-round cooperation between our countries. We found that relations between our two countries are characterized by a high degree of mutual trust and respect, as well as support regarding the most important issues. We are committed to further intensifying the political dialogue at the highest level," added Vucic.

The president of Serbia also said that he believes the ambassador's activity will give a strong impetus to further development of bilateral relations and cooperation in all areas which can contribute to the progress of the two countries and peoples.
