Serbian FM Marko Djuric offers condolences after deadly Tuzla nursing home fire

In the wake of the deadly nursing home fire in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Serbia Marko Djuric offered his condolences to the families of those who died, and wished the injured a speedy recovery.

"I was deeply distressed by the news of the tragedy at the Pensioners' House in Tuzla. On behalf of the citizens of Serbia and on my own behalf, I offer my most sincere condolences to the families of those tragically killed in the fire, and I wish all those injured strength and a speedy recovery," Djuric's message on X reads, and adds:

"The people of Serbia share in their pain and offer sympathies to the people in Tuzla and all of Bosnia and Herzegovina in these sad moments."

The fire that engulfed the 7th floor of the nursing home in Tuzla last night killed 11 residents, while a total of 35 people sought medical help, including employees, firefighters, police officers, and medics, Tuzla Mayor Zijad Lugavic confirmed this morning.
