Serbian Prime Minister Djuro Macut met today with UK National Security Advisor Jonathan Powell, with whom he discussed bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

Djuro Macut stressed that Serbia is determined to continue strengthening the partnership and cooperation with the United Kingdom and the importance of good economic relations, the Serbian government's press service said in a statement.

During the meeting, it was emphasized that peace and stability are key prerequisites for further growth and development, and that Serbia is fully committed to that.

Djuro Macut and Jonathan Powell assessed that the two countries have the potential to develop further cooperation in areas of mutual interest.

It was concluded that bilateral relations between the Republic of Serbia and the United Kingdom are good, but that there is significant room for their further development.

The meeting was also attended by the UK ambassador to Serbia, Edward Ferguson.
