President Aleksandar Vucic said today in Subotica, northern Serbia, that he will talk with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban about US sanctions against Petroleum Industry of Serbia, NIS.

Vucic said they would discuss how to ensure complete energy security for the citizens of our country.

"Of course, we're only going to start talking now. First, I'm taking Viktor to a bakery, a burek place called Kod Micka - and then we're going to a winery, where we're going to talk about all the important topics. For us, the most important topic, as you know, are sanctions against NIS. We've asked, we've pleaded, yesterday (Peter) Szijjarto spoke with our officials, today I'm going to speak with Viktor to see how we can ensure complete energy security for the citizens of Serbia," Vucic told reporters in Subotica.

He added that of they will discuss all other important geopolitical issues, as well as issues of importance for the region and bilateral relations between Serbia and Hungary.

Vucic said that the Hungarian people and state can always count on the support of Serbia, and thanked Orban as "the most deserving for the fact we have such a relationship."
