Deputy PM and Interior of Serbia Ivica Dacic will today in Brussels participate in the 2nd International Conference of the Global Alliance to Counter Migrant Smuggling, organized by the European Commission.

The conference aims to send a united global message that breaking smuggling networks and protecting the lives of migrants is possible only through coordinated action along the entire migration route.

The emphasis of the ministerial segment will be focused on prevention, response and development of legal alternatives to illegal migration, while special topics will include digital smuggling, monitoring of financial flows and establishment of safe sustainable migration routes.

On the sidelines of the conference, Minister Dacic will also meet with the executive director of Europol, Catherine De Bolle.
