SNS leader Vucevic: Obsession with Serbia and Vucic in our region is concerning
Ruling SNS party leader and presidential adviser Milos Vucevic said today that Serbia does not look as much at the region, as the countries in the region look at Serbia, and pointed out that the obsession with Serbia and Aleksandar Vucic is concerning.
"We don't look at the region as much as the region looks at us. Our media don't care half as much as they do about us, there are no headlines against Plenkovic or Spajic. It would be funny if it wasn't sad. Before this, there was a wave of news from Montenegro that Vucic was to blame for what the Turks did there," Vucevic told TS Media.
He added that he is afraid that the Montenegrin leadership was a bit too hasty with the promises made to its people, and that Serbia wishes Montenegro all the best, since a lot of people there identify as Serbs.
But, according to Vucevic, this obsession with Serbia and Vucic is worrying.
"Vucic bothers them because he is supposedly persuading Macron to do something, meanwhile they don't mind when Croatian fans shout the things they shout. And imagine the opposite situation. We'd have thought Montenegrins would condemn someone saying they would kill a third of its people," Vucevic stated, and added that Milan Knezevic is a politician from Montenegro who "always raises his voice."
When it comes to the region's European integration, Vucevic thinks it is "not fair to skip over" some countries.
"When some of our neighbors joined, they (EU) did not insist on certain criteria. We need to mind our business, stay on the European path", said Vucevic.
