Jorgovanka Tabakovic, the governor of the Serbian central bank, NBS, said today that all the results achieved in the extremely challenging year that was 2025 are a confirmation of Serbia's good macroeconomic policies.
"All the results achieved in coordination with other economic policy makers in our country, even in the extremely challenging 2025, are a confirmation of good macroeconomic policies. Also in 2025, rating agencies stressed high hard currency reserves, preserved relative stability of the exchange rate of the dinar against the euro, a stable and resilient financial sector in 2025," said Tabakovic.
She pointed out that the expected movement of inflation is within the limits of the target set by the National Bank of Serbia (3 ± 1.5 percent) also in the med-term, which is forecast by the National Bank of Serbia, the International Monetary Fund, rating agencies, as well as other important factors in the international economic system, which speaks in favor of continued responsible policies.
