Aleksandar Vucic reveals what he discussed with Mohamed bin Zayed

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic posted on his Instagram account about the conversation he had with President of the United Arab Emirates Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

"It is a great honor and pleasure to meet and talk with the president of the United Arab Emirates, one of the most important world leaders and a sincere friend of Serbia," Vucic wrote, and added:

"I thanked him for his hospitality, but above all for the respect and support he shows towards Serbia and our people. Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed is a statesman from whom I have learned a lot over the years about responsible, wise and long-term sustainable governance, with the conviction that the strength of a country does not depend only on natural resources, but above all on vision and leadership."

"We discussed improvement of economic cooperation, additional opportunities for technology transfer and realization of joint projects. I particularly stressed the importance of investments the United Arab Emirates makes in Serbia, in the fields of agriculture, energy and large infrastructure projects, which strongly contribute to the development and changing face of our country," Vucic stated in his post.

Vucic further wrote that they exchanged opinions regarding current regional and global situation, with a special emphasis on preserving peace and stability.

"This time as well, I listened and learned more from a man who enjoys great respect as a leader who always finds reasonable, calm and patient solutions even in complex circumstances. Serbia and the United Arab Emirates share a common vision of the future based on peace, development, innovation and mutual trust," the Instagram post read, and concluded:

"We are connected not only by successful cooperation today, but also by a clear ambition to build a stable, modern and prosperous future together for generations to come. This friendship and partnership represent a strong foundation for even stronger and closer cooperation in the years before us, for the benefit of all our citizens."
