Vucic speaks from New Delhi: I am very satisfied with visit, looking forward to meeting with Indian president
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic today addressed the public at home from India, where he is participating in the AI Impact Summit.
"Today is closed to the public, otherwise many young people came to our stand. Artificial intelligence requires computers, computers require electricity, we will have to deal with all the key issues. We will have to deal with greater investments in education, in those parts of the economy, culture and the military," Vucic said, and added:
"We will have to see how to apply, how to teach children. I am very satisfied with the visit, I am looking forward to a meeting with the president of India."
"We all know, it's a huge problem, whoever lags behid in this will lose sovereignty, everything. They will not have anything of their own," said Vucic.
"These are the problems we are facing, work on infrastructure must be done swiftly. That is why we need new schools, universities, data centers. We have to get in now, it will require changes. To understand well what is happening in the world. India has managed to do a remarkable thing," the president said.
"Even today, I know very little, I try to learn quickly. I've been to countless AI summits. Thanks to my decision, Serbia has one of the most modern data centers in all of Southern Europe. I don't know how to read the data from a scanner, but I've provided the most modern magnetic resonance imaging and scanners," added the president.
"I don't know how to lay down bricks, but I built a city within a city together with the people who helped. It's important to accept what you don't know. Those who make fun of me, that's all they know, as well as to watch porn on their phones. It's good that I don't know, that others know, I'm trying to find out, to learn," he said.
Vucic also spoke about the economy.
"In the first half of February we have over 5 billion, which is about 50 million euros, higher revenues than we expected. This is the second month in a row that we have better revenues than we planned, let's just hope it continues," said Vucic.
