SHOCKING! Prosecution could seek PRISON time for politician Cedomir Jovanovic over the chair assault

Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP), after conducting operational actions, will file a criminal complaint against Cedomir Jovanovic on suspicion that he committed the criminal act of violent behavior.

We have learned that the competent public prosecutor, after reviewing the evidence and police reports, ordered the suspect to be prosecuted under Article 344 Paragraph 2 in connection with Paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.

Aggravated form of crime

Given that Jovanovic is charged under Paragraph 2 of the article, this indicates a more serious form of violent behavior. According to the legal provisions, this is applied if the act was committed in a group, if a victims suffered minor physical injury or endured considerable humiliation.

Further course of procedure

The prosecutor's office has confirmed that the process will be conducted in regular procedure. This means that in the following period, all necessary evidentiary actions will be undertaken, including:

Questioning the suspect;

Interviewing witnesses and injured parties;

Collection of material evidence and possibly of video surveillance footage.

After this has been completed, the public prosecutor will make the final decision on whether to filing an indictment or possibly rejecting the police report, in line with the law.
