Vucic and Tokayev discuss strengthening comprehensive bilateral cooperation between Serbia and Kazakhstan

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic met today in Astana with President of Kazakhstan Kassym Jomart Tokayev, and according to a statement, the two officials summed up the results of the cooperation so far, and discussed certain guidelines to further strengthen comprehensive bilateral cooperation.

"The magnificent welcome that President Tokayev prepared for me is not only an honor and a rare privilege for myself, but also a special obligation to do everything to strengthen relations with Kazakhstan," President Vucic said in a post on Instagram.

He added that they discussed ways to make the most of the potential for improving economic relations and encouraging new investments in key sectors.

"We especially focused on energy, where we see significant space for cooperation in developing new projects of common interest," Vucic stated.

He added that, in the era of strong digital transformation and innovation, the inevitable topic was application of artificial intelligence in education, economy and industry, an area where Kazakhstan is making fascinating progress.

"I invited President Tokayev to visit Serbia again, which would be a special honor for us," Vucic concluded.

The president of Serbia is on a two-day official visit to Kazakhstan.
