MAFIA MONEY LAUNDERERS ARRESTED! Millions from Ecuador's drug market ended up in Serbia!

A major operation carried out by SBPOK and the Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime has resulted in the arrest of members of a group that laundered 180 million dinars obtained from cocaine trafficking.

Members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (UKP unit), Service for Combating Organized Crime, acting on order of the Public Prosecutor's Office for Organized Crime, have dealt a new blow to the mafia as the operation to combat money laundering continued.

Two members of an organized criminal group have been arrested, while the organizer is being intensively searched for.

From Ecuador to safes in Serbia

It is suspected that from 2019 to 2022, S.J. (47), as the organizer of the group, led narcotics trade operations between Ecuador and Europe. After acquiring a huge amount of capital from drugs sales, he formed a new group with the aim of funneling "dirty" money into legal channels.

The plan was simple but ambitious:

Buying houses and apartments in Serbia and Austria.

Acquisition of expensive wristwatches.

Storing large amounts of cash in private safes.

Who was arrested?

At this stage of the operation, B.J.(1956) and N.M. (1980) have been arrested. They are suspected of conspiracy to commit criminal acts including money laundering. Illegal weapons were also found in N.M.'s possession, which is why he is charged with illegal possession and trafficking of weapons and explosive materials.

The criminal complaint covers:

S. J. (47) - Organizer (on the run).

N. B. (36)- Money laundering and drugs possession.

B. V. (41) - Money laundering, drugs and illegal weapons possession.

The police found narcotics and a large amount of weapons and explosives during the search, which indicates the high level of danger represented by this group.

B.J. and N.M. will be detained for up to 48 hours by the police before they are brought to the competent prosecutor's office for questioning, along with a criminal complaint. The police continue to search for S.J.
