Vucic: We have solution that will make life easier for Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said over the weekend that a solution has been found that will make life easier for our people in Kosovo and Metohija, as well as that work is being done to solve the issue of license plates.
During a tour of the village of Azanja near Smederevska Palanka, Vucic said that it is essential to protect our people in Kosovo and Metohija.
Asked what kind of agreement was reached regarding the so-called the law on foreigners in Kosovo and Metohija, Vucic said that it will make life easier for the people in Kosovo and Metohija and that our people will be able to continue working at the university and in healthcare centers.
"I'm not talking about agreements. We reached a solution that will make life easier for our people in Kosovo and Metohija. We talked all the time and were in touch with the Serbs in Kosovo and Metohija, to see what it is that they accept, what it is that they cannot accept. People at the university will survive, people in healthcare centers will survive, they will be able to work. We are also solving this around license plates, we are coming up with all technical solutions and we'll see how everyone will interpret it in two or three days, but I think it is essential to save the people in Kosovo and Metohija," said Vucic.
He added that, while thanking everyone who got involved, he believes that this will give us at least a temporary respite and an opportunity "to save people."
