Novi Sad Mayor Zarko Micin speaks with ambassador of Ukraine about future cooperation
Mayor of Novi Sad Zarko Micin met today in the City Hall with Ambassador of Ukraine to Serbia Oleksandr Lytvynenko, to discuss possibilities for future cooperation, as well as specific initiatives that can contribute to the improvement of cultural, educational and social relations.
As announced from the mayor's office, they also discussed measures that should be taken in order to adequately protect and restore the monument to Taras Shevchenko, located in Novi Sad.
The importance of inter-university and regional cooperation was highlighted, especially within the framework of the Partnership Cooperation Agreement signed between Novi Sad and Lviv, and both parties agreed that this cooperation is of key importance for the development of cultural and educational exchanges, as well as for providing support to young people.
The plan is also to organize an exhibition of Ukrainian Easter eggs, which are included in the UNESCO list of intangible cultural heritage.
Mayor Micin and Ambassador Lytvynenko expressed their willingness to continue and improve cooperation in all fields, so that future projects can to contribute to strengthening ties and fostering mutual understanding, the statement said.
