Strong earthquake hits Serbia!
During the night, two earthquakes were recorded in Serbia, the stronger of which was a 4.1 magnitude, according to the Seismological Survey of Serbia.
According to currently available information, the earthquakes occurred near Bezdan, in the northwest of the country, the first at around 02:30.
The epicenter was at a depth of 15 kilometers, on the edge of the Special Nature Reserve Gornje Podunavlje and in the middle part of a road between Bezdan and Backi Monostor.
Based on data from the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center, the earthquake had a magnitude of 4.3 and happened at 02:35 with the epicenter located near Kupusin, about 8.0856 kilometers from its center.
The hypocenter of the earthquake, according to data, is located at a depth of approximately 10 kilometers.
The second one, as reported by the Seismological Survey of Serbia, occurred only ten minutes later, and it had a magnitude of 2.5.
The epicenter was located in the center of Bezdan itself at a depth of 8 kilometers.
The European-Mediterranean Seismological Center agrees with this, stating that the epicenter of the earthquake was located near Kolut, about 6.0660 kilometers from its center.
So far, there are no reports of material damage or injuries, and the competent services are monitoring the situation.
