Vucic speaks with Zelenskyy : These were the topics
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic on Wednesday spoke by phone with his Ukraine counterpart Volodymyr Zelenskyy, and said that they had an open and good conversation about bilateral relations, EU paths of Serbia and Ukraine, and improving economic cooperation.
"An open and good conversation with President Zelenskyy about bilateral relations between our countries, the European path of Serbia and Ukraine, as well as opportunities for further improvement of economic cooperation and connections in areas of common interest, including discussions about a free trade agreement between Serbia and Ukraine," Vucic stated in a post on the Instagram account 'buducnostrbijeav'.
He added that the topic was also today's visit of Taras Kachka , who is Ukraine's deputy PM for European and Euro-Atlantic integration which, said Vucic, will represent an important step in further strengthening the cooperation between the two countries.
"We also discussed the importance of dialogue, mutual understanding and a responsible approach in solving problems, agreeing that peace and saving people's lives are values that must be prioritized," said Vucic.
He added that they also confirmed commitment to further improve bilateral relations through open dialogue, mutual respect and strengthening cooperation in areas of common interest, with an emphasis on economic cooperation as a basis for long-term development and stability.
