Ivica Dacic and Singapore's K. Shanmugam discuss artificial intelligence and fight against high-tech crime
Deputy PM and Interior Minister Ivica Dacic met today in the Palace of Serbia in New Belgrade with Singapore's Interior Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security K. Shanmugam.
Welcoming his colleague, Minister Dacic pointed out that bilateral relations between our countries are good and friendly, the foundations of which were established during the founding of the Non-Aligned Movement, and that there is a stable tendency of their overall improvement.
In a cordial conversation, Dacic underlined the importance of exchanging opinions, experiences and examples of good practices with Singapore, especially in the field of combating high-tech crime, applying artificial intelligence in the security sector and protecting critical infrastructure, as well as intensifying visits at high and top levels.
During the meeting, Ivica Dacic indicated that the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MUP) is interested in improving cooperation with related services in Singapore by establishing a legal framework between the two ministries, which would create new opportunities for cooperation.
Dacic also stressed that Serbia is fully committed to further improvement and development of cooperation with Singapore, as evidenced by economic parameters recorded during the recent years.
