President Vucic: Serbia will continue to make active contribution to Inter Parliamentary Union, IPU
President Aleksandar Vucic spoke today in Belgrade with the president of the Inter Parliamentary Union (IPU), Tulia Ackson, about improving Serbia's relations with that international organization and the role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening mutual understanding and connecting countries, and on that occasion stressed that Serbia will continue to make an active contribution to the IPU.
"Cordial conversation with Tulia Ackson about the improvement of Serbia's relations with this important international organization and the role of parliamentary diplomacy in strengthening mutual understanding and connecting countries," Vucic announced on the Instagram account "buducnostsrbijeav".
He added that he and Ackson also discussed the Second Global Conference of Women Parliamentarians, which is being held in Belgrade.
"We also spoke about the Second Global Conference of Women Parliamentarians, which is being held in Belgrade, as well as the empowerment of women and their greater participation in political and public life. I pointed out that Serbia is proud to be the host of this important international gathering," wrote the president of Serbia.
Vucic added that Serbia has been a member of the IPU for more than 135 years, and remains committed to strengthening international ties, mutual respect and consistent respect of international law.
