President of the Supervisory Board of Srbijagas Aleksandar Vulin spoke on Monday via video conference with Israeli Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Justice Yariv Levin.

During the conversation, the two officials exchanged opinions about current international and regional issues, as well as regarding the possibilities for further strengthening of cooperation between Serbia and Israel.

Aleksandar Vulin thanked the Government of Israel for the invitation to the opening ceremony of the Maccabiah Games, noting that he was honored by the opportunity to attend the Maccabiah in Jerusalem, a significant event for the Jewish people.

The importance of the culture of remembrance and the preservation of the historical memory of the Serbian and Jewish people was particularly emphasized, as well as that the shared suffering of Jews and Serbs obligates us to permanently preserve the memory of our victims, but also to continue to nurture relationships of trust and mutual support.

During the conversation, it was stressed that Serbs and Jews care in the same way about the truth about World War II.
