Vucic: Serbia to open drone factory in September, in cooperation with Israelis

Serbia will open a drone factory in cooperation with Israeli partners in mid-September, President Aleksandar Vucic has announced.

According to him, the opening of the factory is planned around September 15 or 20, and representatives of Ukraine will be invited to the ceremony, who he assessed have extensive experience in the development and production of unmanned aerial vehicles.

Vucic spoke about this project during a joint press conference with President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Saturday, when asked if military cooperation was discussed during their meeting.

He stressed that military cooperation was not discussed.

"We did not discuss any military cooperation today (Saturday), not at present time. What will happen after the war ends is another matter," said Vucic.

According to the president, the factory will be implemented in partnership with Israeli companies, while representatives of Ukraine will be invited to the opening becaise of their experience in the field of development and production of drones.
