President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said today that it is the choice of the family how the funeral of General Ratko Mladic will be organized, and that he did everything necessary to ensure that it takes place in a dignified manner, and for the state to take a serious and responsible stance.
When asked by journalists whether he will attend Mladic's funeral, Vucic said that on Monday and Tuesday he will be hosting the president of Uzbekistan, a visit that was scheduled four months ago.
He added that he has spoken with the Mladic family and that it is their choice how to organize the funeral.
"I have an official visit on Monday and Tuesday all day, the president of Uzbekistan, scheduled four months ago. Did I do everything necessary and everything possible to make it (the funeral) happen in a dignified way, for the state to take a serious and responsible stance? I did exactly that," Vucic said during his visit to Palic in the north of Serbia.
