Ana Brnabic comments on Student List campaign

Vice President of the Main Board of the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) Ana Brnabic said today that the campaign of the Student List is unprecedented in Serbia or anywhere else, and added that a video published on the Instagram account sviublokade.fdu is the most monstrous message from the Student List so far.

Addressing a press conference at the SNS headquarters, which was attended by a large number of members of that party, Brnabic said the video that contained threats that Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic would be arrested, but also allusions that he would be raped, shows what Serbia would look like if the Student List came to power, and that it shows the policies advocated by the Student List.

"Women are the pillars of society in every society. Women are the most responsible part of society. And that's why this conference is held by women, in order to warn everyone in Serbia of the danger should the Student List with its policy, plan, program and values ​​that we see in their campaign, the best and the clearest in the last 24 hours, should they come to power in Serbia, what our Serbia would look like. How we would live in such a country and what is it that they have to offer us, and what they are not ashamed of, on the contrary, what they are proud of," said Brnabic.

The video published on sviublokade.fdu's Instagram account was played, and Brnabic pointed out that something like this has never been seen in Serbia and that this kind of campaign has never been seen anywhere else in the world, and probably will never be seen.

"Because such things are simply not done. People don't do this. And this is the Student List program. Aleksandar Vucic is first of all someone's son, someone's brother, someone's father. How does his mother Angelina feel when she watches this? How does his daughter Milica feel when she watches this? What are you doing to that family? Why are you doing this to that family? This is not the first time, this is the umpteenth time, this is just the most monstrous message so far," Brnabic pointed out.

She asked representatives of the Student List whether they promise to all families in Serbia that they will do to them what could be seen in the video.

"They are not looking for justice. That Student List, that is, those who created it, those who are doing this to Serbia and what they are promising Serbia through the Student List, they are not looking for justice, they are looking for revenge. And that revenge now includes the promise that we will all be raped, if, I guess, they don't like our policies, our work, our ideology and our values. Well, that's why yesterday was a turning point in this campaign, if this can even be called a campaign," said Brnabic.
