Ivica Dacic offers condolences following the death of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum

Serbian Deputy PM and Minister of Internal Affairs Ivica Dacic has offered his condolences to the commander of the Dubai Police, Lieutenant General Abdullah Khalifa Al-Marri, on the occasion of the death of Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the long-time Deputy Chairman of Dubai Police and Public Security.

"It is with great sadness that we received the news of the passing of His Excellency Sheikh Ahmed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, who will be remembered as an exceptional leader, a professional and a man who, with his dedicated work, made an immeasurable contribution to the stability, development and security of Dubai and the United Arab Emirates," said Dacic.

He pointed out that the UAE official's legacy in the field of public security and leading institutions remains a permanent testimony of his commitment to state interests.

"In these difficult moments, our thoughts are with his family, colleagues and everyone who respected him. On behalf of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Serbia and on my own behalf, I offer my deepest and most sincere condolences to the Dubai Police, the Al Maktoum family and the people of the United Arab Emirates," Minister Dacic said.
