The printing of ballots for the upcoming parliamentary elections in Serbia, in which 6,450,523 Serbian citizens will have the right to vote, began at the printing office of the JP Sluzbeni Glasnik (Official Gazette).

The start of the printing of ballots was be attended by the president of the Republic Election Commission (RIK) Vladimir Dimitrijevic, secretary Srdjan Smiljanic, members of the Commission, as well as authorized observers, the RIK announced.

There will be 18 electoral lists on the ballots, nine of which represent national minorities.

RIK announced on Saturday evening that the total number of voters in Serbia for the upcoming parliamentary elections is 6,450,523 and adopted a decision that the same number of ballots will be printed.

RIK previously issued a Decision regarding the form and appearance of ballots for voting in the election to elect deputies of the National Assembly, scheduled for October 25.

RIK President Dimitrijevic reminded that on September 9, the president of Serbia announced elections for deputies based on the Law on the Unified Voter Roll and that the Ministry of State Administration and Local Self-Government closed the voter roll 15 days before the election day.

The decision determines the total number of voters in each local self-government unit and at each polling station, and the decision is submitted to the Republic Election Commission no later than 24 hours after its adoption.

Dimitrijevic also stated that 102,147 voters were registered to vote at 93 polling stations abroad.

"6,450,523 ballots will be printed, i.e. the number of ballots is equal to the total number of voters in the Republic of Serbia as of October 9, 2026. It will change somewhat until the final number of voters is determined," said Dimitrijevic.

The ballots will be printed in 29 language variants, depending on which languages and scripts are in official use in certain municipalities across Serbia.
