The Serbian water-polo team has successfully completed a league of the World League, since they beat Russia with 11:10 (2: 3, 4: 1, 2: 2, 3: 4), in the last round of group B in Krusevac.

The Serbian water-polo team had previously taken part in the final tournament in Italy, but regardless entered the match all in, and justified their role as favorites. The most efficient players in the winning team with two goals each were Filip Filipovic, Stefan Mitrovic and Nikola Jaksic, while the ones on the list of scorers were Mandic, Randjelovic, Cuk, Aleksic and Stojanovic.

The chosen few of Dejan Savic were previously better than Spain in Nis (9:1) and Madrid (15:9), Germany in Hamburg (19:10) and Kragujevac (14:8) and Russia in Astrahanya (17:8).

-I'm glad that we donated this victory to Krusevac. The ambiance was amazing, we had some problems with injuries, we played with one person less from the center, without Radjen...and we learned from it. We managed to fulfill the first part of our goal. Now we go to Bergamo and try to win first place - said Savic on Serbia's water-polo federation website.

Serbia is a defender of the trophy of the World League, but this year's competition has a special significance because the winner will qualify for a placement in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro in 2016. In the second match of group B, Barcelona will be welcoming Germany at 8:30 pm.

The final tournament of the World League will be held from June 23rd to 28th in the Italian city of Bergamo.
