The red-and-whites played two matches against the Zagreb team this season in the regular part of the ABA League. Red Star won both times.

The first match was won in Zagreb in the ninth round by one point - 88:87. In the Pioneer Rec Center, Dejan Radonjic's team was much more convincing and celebrated with 78:63 win.

The match in Zagreb, which was played on November 24, 2014 was very difficult for Red Star from a physical, especially psychological point of view. It's been less than three days since the bestial murder of Mark Ivkovic in Istanbul on November 21st by Galatasaray fans.

The red and whites have played a very difficult and uncertain match in Turkey's largest city, where they were buckling after two overtimes. After that, they heard the bad news about the murder of one of their fans, so it was very difficult to recover in time for the match against Zagreb form a physical, particularly on a psychological level. In the end, Red Star celebrated the victory and dedicated to slain Marko Ivkovic.

2 - The first game of the season that the club got after an uncertain finale

Red Star basketball players and their coach Dejan Radonjic follow the opinion that they cannot get an uncertain finale throughout the season. Up until the match in Zagreb, the red-and-whites were winning all previous matches in the ABA league with a convincing difference, and if the difference was not drastic, then there was no drama and an unpredictable finale.

Red Star had lost a few games in the Euroleague prior to this, precisely after an uncertain finale - against Neptunas, Olympiacos and Galatasaray. However, they seemed to bust that myth and in the last seconds of the game celebrated a hit by Jake Blazic from a throw, and it was a Slovenenian who was the best individual red star player with 20 points.

3 - Pilepic the best in Cedevita

The first match between these two teams in the ranks of the host was marked by Fran Pilepic, who had amazing shooting night. In the first half he dunked everything he shot, and at one point had 5 of 5 from the three-point line. Later on, the percentage dipped to 62.5%, or 5 hits from eight attempts.

Pilepic was one of the best in the ranks of Cedevita at the match in the Pioneer Rec Center. He had 10 points, and only Miro Bilan was more effective with 13. Looking at both games, Pilepic was the best player of Cedevita with 30 points, the second in place, Miro Bilan with 26.

4.Williams' double-double with 12 assists

The match in Zagreb, among other things was marked by Marcus Williams, who achieved a double-double with 11 points and 12 assists. He continued on his streak only a few days after becoming a record-breaker in the Euroleague with 16 assists in one game, which he divided in a match against Galatasaray. In the second match he did not play much, roughly nine minutes, because Red Star had a very busy schedule so Dejan Radonjic rested his first point guard before the Korac Cup.

5. Boban Marjanovic as you've never seen him

In a match between these two teams in the Pioneer Rec Center, viewers were able to see the center star, Boban Marjanovic in a light they've never seen him. The MVP of the Euroleague is considered a true benign giant, from which hardly anyone could hear a bad word, let alone an unfair move.
