Two children were killed in Sipkovica, aged four and five years, and a man (80) lost his life while returning from the village mosque

At least five people, including four children, were killed in a violent storm that hit the area of Tetovo in the northwest of Macedonia in the past day.

As reported by the Macedonian agency MIA, the flood killed a ten year old child, and the lifeless body of 13-year-old girl was brought to the Tetovo hospital, probably from the village Šipkovica.

According to unconfirmed information, two children were killed in Sipkovica, aged four and five years, and a 80-year-old man lost his life while he was returning from the village mosque.

The road to Šipkovica is closed due to landslides that have blocked the road, and left the village without electricity.

In Tetovo, after the storm, followed by strong wind and hail, streets and houses were flooded.

The Macedonian government will hold an emergency morning session due to flooding.
