Dealers fall in Belgrade during handover of 67 kilos of drugs: Photos say they had other intentions

"One pistol with a silencer and a large amount of ammunition have been seized. The gun's (serial) numbers have been scraped off, and they also had silicone masks. All this shows that these drug dealers not only trafficked drugs, but also prepared for a more serious crime, and the investigation will determine which one," said Vulin

Members of the Criminal Police Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior arrested Z.M. (28) and S.Z. (43) last night in Belgrade during an attempted to handover of 32 kilograms of amphetamines and 35 kilograms of marijuana.

"On that occasion, drugs were seized, but also one pistol with a silencer and a large amount of ammunition. The gun's (serial) numbers have been scraped off, and they also had silicone masks. All this shows that these drug dealers not only trafficked drugs, but also prepared for a more serious crime, and the investigation will determine which one," said Minister of Internal Affairs Aleksandar Vulin.

This action came after several months of work.

"There is simply no place for drug dealers on our streets, and members of the Criminal Police Directorate, members of the Ministry of Internal Affairs never lose sight of the fact that one of the most serious acts, one of the most severe blows to our everyday life are drug sales. There is no place for dealers," said Minister Vulin.

Those arrested are charged with the criminal offenses of unauthorized production and distribution of narcotics and illicit production, possession, carrying and trafficking of weapons and explosives.

They will be detained for up to 48 hours before being handed over to the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office for further jurisdiction and action.
