Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov is coming to Belgrade on Tuesday, December 15, where he will meet with Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic, Tanjug has learned from diplomatic sources.

Vucic and Lavrov are expected to address the public after the talks.

During the visit, the head of Russian diplomacy will also meet with his Serbian colleague Minister Nikola Selakovic.

As Russian officials visiting Serbia customarily do, Lavrov will visit the monument to the Liberators of Belgrade, and he will also visit the temple of Saint Sava and lay a wreath at the tomb of Patriarch Irinej.

This is a visit that was originally planned for the end of October, but the Russian minister had to self-isolate just before the trip because he had been in contact with a person infected with coronavirus.

For this reason all his planned visits and meetings got postponed, the Russian Foreign Ministry's press service said at the time.
