Aleksandar Vucic receives celebrated conductor Zubin Mehta

Maestro Mehta will hold a gala concert with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra tomorrow, Saturday, July 10, in the Great Hall of the Kolarac Endowment

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic today met with the world-famous conductor Zubin Mehta, who will tomorrow, July 10, hold a gala concert with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra, in the Great Hall of the Kolarac Endowment.

The famous conductor has led the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra nine times so far, the last time as a special guest in the first open-air concert in 2017.

Mehta once stated that he has had a connection with the Belgrade Philharmonic Orchestra since his first guest appearance in 1958, and that he followed the development of that orchestra with great interest, especially after 2000.

For his 10th performance with the Belgrade Philharmonic, the maestro chose "royal" works of symphonic music, which once upon a time motivated him to become a conductor.
