Brnabic replies to former US ambassador in Pristina: Vucic did not choose Putin, but international law

Philip Kosnett wrote on Twitter, "So it seems Serbia's Vucic has chosen Putin over the West" and assessed that the president of Serbia is "hiding behind the Church," while "claiming his hands are tied by public opinion"

Prime Minister of Serbia Ana Brnabic's message for the former US ambassador in Pristina is that President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic "did not choose Putin over the West", but instead "international law and principles, Serbian interests and peace."

President Vucic "did not choose Putin over the West, nor does he hide behind anyone, or has ever claimed that 'his hands are tied' by anything. He chose international law and principles, Serbian interests and peace," Brnabic wrote on Twitter, responding to Philip Kosnett's tweet.

"That's leadership. As for morals - don't even start," she concluded.

Kosnett previously posted on Twitter that "it seems Serbia's Vucic has chosen Putin over the West" and assessed that the president of Serbia is "hiding behind the Church," while "claiming his hands are tied by public opinion."

In his opinion, "That’s not leadership; it’s moral cowardice."

In the same tweet, Kosnett also called on the EU and the United States to "take note" of that.
