Gazprom now owns 6.15 percent of NIS: The company acquired its stake by buying 10 million shares

The Republic of Serbia still has the second largest share package amounting to 29.87 percent

Serbia's Central Securities Depository and Clearing House (CRHOV) has registered that Gazprom now owns 6.15 percent of the Petroleum Industry of Serbia (NIS).

After a block trade on Friday, Gazprom Neft now has 50 percent of NIS shares.

Gazprom acquired its package by buying 10 million NIS shares from Gazprom Neft. The Republic of Serbia still has the second largest share package amounting to 29.87 percent.

A total of 16.44 million shares or 10 percent of NIS are owned by individuals.

A total of 2.92 percent of NIS shares are in custodial accounts.
