This is how police stormed Belgrade restaurant: Racketeers thrown on the ground during handover of money

They are suspected of extorting a large amount of money and cars from the victim by threatening his life during the past 10 days

Members of the SBPOK (the anti-organized crime police unit) raided a restaurant in Belgrade and arrested two suspects for racketeering, i.e., extorting money and cars.

They were arrested during the handover of the money from the victim, and the rest of the racketeering gang was caught in Belgrade and Novi Sad.

M.M. (41), who was giving the orders, has been arrested, as well as B.R. (34), C.P. (38), U.C. (30) and B. A. (34) who are suspected of extorting a large amount of money and cars from the victim during the past ten days.

The suspects have been placed in custody for up to 48 hours, after which they will be brought to the competent prosecutor's office along with a criminal complaint.

The operation was carried out by members of SBPOK and the police administration in Novi Sad, in cooperation with the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office in Belgrade.
