Minister of Finance Sinisa Mali has said that as of today, exactly 100 countries have confirmed their participation in the International Specialized Exhibition EXPO 2027 in Belgrade.

"And, just as we received the trust of countries from all over the world when we were chosen to host this exhibition, now, in record time, as many as 100 countries are announcing their arrival in Belgrade, where we will be the best hosts and present our country in the most beautiful light," Mali posted on Instagram.

He added that he expects the number of participating countries to continue to grow rapidly, and now, it is already certain that the number from the last Specialized Exhibition in Astana, Kazakhstan, which had 117 participants, will be exceeded.

"While confirmations for participation in EXPO are arriving, preparations for that prestigious event are proceeding according to the planned dynamic. Hundreds of workers and machines work every day on the construction site in Surcin, because everything must be ready in a little more than a year and a half, by December 1, 2026, which is we hand over the keys to the pavilions to the participating countries," said Mali.

He pointed out that EXPO for Serbia means further growth, development and strengthening of economic activities, which is why, among other things, it represents a huge victory for our country.

"During this exhibition, we will present our potential, attract tourists, business people, investors, and bring the whole world to Belgrade. At the same time, EXPO is a unique opportunity for participating countries to show the best of their economy, culture, innovation and visios of progress. Through EXPO, we are building the future together," said Mali.
