Two earthquakes hit Prijepolje today in a short period of time.

According to the website of the Seismological Survey of Serbia one happened at 10:18 am, and the other four minutes later.

One measured 2.5 on the Richter scale and the other 2.6.

"The theoretical intensity in the epicenter was estimated at III-IV degrees on the Mercalli scale. Earthquakes of this intensity cannot cause damage to buildings in the epicenter area," according to the website of the Seismological Survey of Serbia.

The first was at a depth of 5 kilometers and the second at a depth of 2 kilometers.
