The plenary meeting held today at the Serbian central bank, NBS, marked the start of official talks between Serbian representatives and the IMF mission, the bank has announced.

The Serbian delegation is led by NBS Governor and Serbia's Governor to the IMF Jorgovanka Tabakovic, as well as Finance Minister Sinisa Mali and his associates, a statement said.

The meetings represent the third review under the Stand-By Arrangement approved by the IMF on December 19, 2022.

The IMF mission, led by Donal McGettigan, will be in Belgrade until March 26, and the talks will focus on the latest macroeconomic developments, the economic outlook and risks, and key issues related to program implementation, the central bank said.

In December 2023, the IMF Executive Board concluded the second review under the Stand-By Arrangement for Serbia.
