Dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina to continue on Monday

Lajcak, EU's special envoy for dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, announced that a discussion about the decision regarding cash operations (Pristina banning Serbian dinar) in Kosovo and Metohija will continue next Monday, also in Brussels.

He stated o X that on Tuesday, he discussed the implementation of the agreement on the path to normalization ("Ohrid agreement") with chief negotiators from Belgrade and Pristina, Petar Petkovic and Besnik Bislimi, as well as the impact of the decision on cash transactions.

"We agreed to continue on this issue next Monday, while the agreement will need to be addressed by the leaders," he wrote.

After the meeting, Petkovic said that the Belgrade delegation insisted primarily on the formation of the ZSO (Community of Serb Municipalities) and that the second main issue was Pristina's decision to ban the use of the Serbian dinar.

Bislimi said that by Friday, Pristina and Belgrade will send proposals for solving the dinar-related issue, and that he expects this to be discussed next week.
