Ministry of Defense makes urgent statement after President Vucic issues new order
In accordance with instructions of Aleksandar Vucic, the President of the Republic, the Commander-in-Chief of the Serbian Army and the Chairman of the Council for National Security, export of weapons and military equipment produced in the Republic of Serbia has been suspended.

Going forward, in addition to the consent from other competent ministries and agencies, the consent of the Council for National Security will be mandatory in order to export weapons and military equipment produced by Serbian defense industry factories.
This is mandated in line with Article 16, Paragraph 4 of the Law on Export and Import of Weapons and Military Equipment.
The extended collegium of the Chief of the Serbian Army General Staff, in which President Aleksandar Vucic took part, met yesterday in Belgrade.
