Serbian Army General Staff meets, Vucic speaks afterwards: We had a CRUCIAL meeting, big changes are coming

President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic spoke after a session of the extended collegium of the Chief of the Serbian Army General Staff. held at the Banjica 2 barracks in Belgrade:
"Today we had one of the crucial meetings regarding the upcoming changes in the Army. We changed the doctrines according to which our army will be much, much stronger, but I cannot reveal the details," said Vucic.
He noted that great powers are brutally trampling on existing rights, and imposing new principles.
"In line with that, we must raise our combat readiness. It is the highest interest to Serbian citizens to be protected and safe," he added.
The president said that for the first time, Serbia will have over 85 percent places in special units filled, which was never the case before.
"By 10 days ago, 300 people had applied, now there are 868," Vucic pointed out.
He stated that for the first time, 29 candidates from military high schools applied for the Military Academy, and that before, there would have been three or four applicants. "Positive news is also that, although I cannot disclose the details, what we produced and bought," said Vucic.
"You will see what large systems have been acquired and sometime on September 19 or 20 we will organize a parade," he announced.
Vucic stressed that we have a serious army.
"Today we made the decision to go with the concept of forming a digital army platform. Soon we will have large and powerful drones that will have a wide field of view. Everything that aircraft sees on the ground, we will also see in control rooms," he said.
The president added that Serbia wants peace in the Middle East.
"Israel and Iran are friendly countries to us. We went through the same thing as the Israeli people, but we also have no anti-Muslim stances, nor will there be any," he said.
"We want the best possible relations with the US. But did they violate international law? There is no doubt about that," Vucic stated.
"There is no justice and there are no rules in today's world. We are sinking into complete chaos, the whole world," he added.
Vucic was previously welcomed in front of the barracks in Banjica by Minister of Defense Bratislav Gasic and Chief of the General Staff General Milan Mojsilovic, with a guard of honor and the sounding of the national anthem, "God of Justice".
