Vucic visits Pionirski Park shooting victim Bogdanovic: "His surgery was successful, doctors removed bullet"
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic last night visited Milan Bogdanovic in hospital, saying he was "a hero from Caciland" - a term used by anti-government protesters to describe a group of tents in Pionirski Park near the Serbian Assembly, occupied by their opponents.
"Milan Bogdanovic, a hero from Caciland, has had successful surgery. The doctors removed the bullet, which he received after he asked the attacker, 'Can I help you, sir?' I promised Milan that immediately after his recovery, we would spend an evening together in the most free place in the heart of Europe, which is Caciland," the Serbian president stated in a post on Instagram.
"P.S. I was wrong (earlier), Milan is the father of three, not two children," the president added.
Vucic later took part in a gathering in Belgrade organized in support of Bogdanovic, saying that the victim "took a bullet because his vision of Serbia's future is different (than the protesters')."
