Office for Kosovo and Metohija: Kurti is a warmonger, his only political program is to terrorize Serbs

Albin Kurti has again presented a catalog of insults against Belgrade and an anti-Serb tirade, in his supposed "keynote address", confirming once again that he does not have the capacity to be anything more than a frustrated warmonger, and that his only political program is to terrorize and persecute Serbs, the director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Petar Petkovic, has said.

Reacting to Kurti's (failed) bid to put together a new government in Pristina, Petkovic added that both Kurti and the content of his speech were defeated, which only confirms that his reign of tyranny has collapsed, a statement issued by the Office said.

Kurti's unsuccessful and tendentious address did not surprise us either by the intensity of the hatred towards all things Serb, nor by his daily lamenting about the alleged Serb threat, because a man who has never shed the skin of a spiteful little Serb-hater can have neither a political vision nor the capacity to produce anything positive for his people and his voters, Petkovic is quoted as stating.

Kurti believes that he should not solve the problems that have piled up in Kosovo and Metohija, as he is always baselessly trying to accuse Serbia and Serbs for them, while his anti-Serb policy is a reflection of his inability to offer his voters anything else. That's why he brags about unilateral and illegal shutting down of Serbian institutions and about creating crises and tensions that brought him to the point where he is starting to lose international support, Petkovic stated.

"The senseless derogatory words that Kurti uses to describe Serbia and its policies are a poor alibi for the constant manifestation of aggression towards the Serbs and an attempt to camouflage the fact that the only threat to peace and stability in the region is precisely Pristina and the unhinged Greater Albania political matrix to which Kurti is blindly devoted.

Political failures and the lack of a positive program cannot be forever hidden behind statements about an aggressive Belgrade, because one can't live off of warmongering sloganeering.

Belgrade will continue to build peace, coexistence, advocate for compromise and assist the Serb people in Kosovo and Metohija, whether Kurti likes it or not. He can continue with his mindless tirades, but even his voters no longer believe in them, which is why they punished him in the elections," Petkovic said.
