Vucic reveals: Russia does not want to sell its share in NIS!
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic said today that Russia (Gazprom), as the majority owner of Petroleum Industry of Serbia, NIS, has no intention of selling its stake in the company.
"It is unquestionable that Russia does not want to sell NIS. This is not about money, but about politics. It is their right, they are the owners. That we have problems because of that, is another issue. Just as the Americans are not interested in anything but their own interests. For now, only Serbia is suffering, and we'll have to wait see how things develop," said Vucic.
The president added that, despite the uncertain situation, no one has noticed any problems in the supply of oil and derivatives on the market -"which speaks to the seriousness of Serbia and the funds invested in state reserves."
Vucic also said that the state is carefully monitoring the situation and will take all necessary measures to ensure supply and stability of the market.
