COLD SNAP is coming! These will be highest temperatures in Serbia until New Year

A cold snap is coming to Serbia! According to our meteorologist Djordje Djuric, the highest temperatures until the New Year will range from only 1 to 7 degrees Celsius during daytime.

Now the state meteorological service, RHMZ, has also issued its forecast. According to them, today will be mostly cloudy and dry, while temperatures will range from only 1 to 5 degrees.

It's FREEZING cold in the capital today. The sky over Belgrade is cloudy, and it's dry, with a weak westerly wind. The highest daily temperature will reach around 2 degrees.

Over the weekend and at the beginning of next week there will be light to moderate frost in the morning, while daytime highs will range from 1 to 6 degrees On Saturday, the sky will gradually clear. It will be partly cloudy from Sunday, with short spells of snowfall in places, and moderate to strong north-westerly wind.

Until the end of this year, temperatures in the morning and overnight will be below zero while during the day they will range from 1 to 7 degrees.

Cloudy weather is expected on New Year's Eve. Minimum temperatures will range from -2 to 2 degrees, in Belgrade around 1 degree, and in the higher mountains from -7 to -5 degrees. The first day of the New Year will bring maximum temperatures of 2 to 8 degrees.

Clouds and cold weather, with sleet and snow, are expected very soon. According to current forecasts, polar air will come in from the north and northeast on January 2, bringing snow to most areas. Around January 3-4, minimum temperature will drop below -10 degrees, on higher mountains below -15.

Daytime will be icy cold, as the maximum temperature will not rise above zero.

Then, around January 5, it will get warmer, but for Orthodox Christmas, January 7, minimum temperatures will remain below zero, reaching be up to 5 degrees during the day.

So, seasonable weather for Serbia at this time of year is ahead of us, but it will be colder compared to the very mild December up until this point.
