Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic speaks with Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian
President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic on Monday afternoon had a phone conversation with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian, which he announced on his Instagram account.
"A good and open conversation with President Pezeshkian, during which I pointed out that Serbia welcomes the cessation of hostilities and the courageous political decisions that have led to the calming of tensions, dialogue and lasting peace, as well as the continuation of talks and cooperation. I also emphasized the importance of repairing the affected areas and the return of economic development as top political and social priorities, because stability, economic progress and interconnection among states are the strongest foundations of peace, both in the Middle East and in the wider international community," Vucic wrote in the caption.
He added that Serbia is committed to international dialogue and peace in the world.
"Serbia will continue to support every responsible effort towards a fairer, safer and more peaceful world, convinced that lasting solutions are built through dialogue, mutual respect and compromise. We exchanged opinions on other current regional and global topics, as well as about the importance of preserving peace, stability and international security in a time of great geopolitical challenges," concluded Vucic.
