In a post on Instagram, President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic has stated that the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag reminds us of the strength that has always been in unity.

He pointed out that the Serbian flag is a symbol of freedom and pride.

"Our tricolor is a symbol of freedom and pride, but also an obligation to protect Serbia and build it even stronger for the generations to come. Long live Serbia!," Vucic stated.

The Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and the National Flag, September 15, is celebrated today, and on this occasion President of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic will present awards in a ceremony that will take place at noon in the Palace of Serbia in New Belgrade.

The Republic of Serbia and the Serb Republic (RS, Serb entity in Bosnia and Herzegovina) mark the Day of Serbian Unity, Freedom and National Flag in memory of September 15, 1918, when the Army of the Kingdom of Serbia broke through the Thessaloniki front, which led to the collapse of the alliance of the Central Powers and the end of the First World War.
