Strong reactions in Pristina as former KLA leaders are sentenced to prison by Hague-based court
Thousands of Albanians watched the live broadcast today in Pristina of the sentencing in The Hague of the four former leaders of the so-called KLA ("Kosovo Liberation Army").

The Kosovo Specialist Chambers sentenced Hashim Thaci and Jakup Krasniqi to 25 years in prison each, while Kadri Veseli and Rexhep Selimi were handed down sentences of 18 and 13 years in prison, respectively.
They stood trial on charges of war crimes and crimes against humanity committed during the war in Kosovo and Metohija.
The crowd in Pristina today chanted the names of the newly convicted former KLA leaders, and cheered for and carried the flags of the so-called KLA.
Strong police forces are deployed around the government and assembly buildings in Pristina.
