According to intelligence test done by the Serbian Mensa Society, the most 'intelligent' city of Serbia is Pancevo.
Goran Tomin, the President of testing in the Serbian Mensa, explains what are the criteria of having the Mensa's membership.
- It is important to stress that only 2% of the population can have IQ of 148 or higher, which is the Mensa's membership criteria. Therefore, Mensa's goal is to pick out that 2% by using tests. That makes it hard to tell which city is the most intelligent one. However, the people of Pancevo were the ones that participated in our tests the most, considering the population of the city. Although a lot smaller, Pancevo had had more candidates than Novi Sad, for example, which lead to a larger number of successful scores for gaining the membership - he said.

Our guest says that there are no rules to pronounce some population the most intelligent.
- We said in one interview that among the smartest individuals we can find highly educated people as well as the ones who never went to school. There are no rules. The test we give measures the IQ up to 156 by the Cattell scale, which only 1% of people manages to achieve. There aren't many members like that and we can never say which of them are the most intelligent because all of them score above the upper threshold of the test - Tomin told us.
