Passengers who attempted to get to Negotin (and surrounding villages) from Nis through Zajecar between July 20-23 experienced this unfortunate turn of events. Among them is Olivera Jovanovic from Jagodina. She left for Rajac from Nis on July 22. Instead of reaching her destination at 3:40 pm, she arrived there at 10:30 pm, by bus and taxi.

A TRIP TO THE SEA FOR ONLY 9 euros: Serbian Railways with never better discounted prices!

- It is a shame that they charged me for a ticket to Rajca, without informing me or any of the other passengers that the train at 2:40 pm to Negotin was not in function. The conductor literally left us at the train station platform with the explanation that a higher power is responsible and that there are no proper locomotives available. When we asked why they sold us these tickets, he said he did not know and for us to complain to the people " in Belgrade" - says Jovanovic for "Blic".

She continued her travel by bus to Negotin, and from there, by taxi to her final destination.

- My trip to Nis from Rajca with the railroad cost me a fortune, because I paid 30 euros for a taxi and 600 dinars for the bus - says our interlocutor.

"Serbian Railways" confirmed the story of our interlocutor.

- There were traffic problems in OJ Zajecar due to failures of some of the five diesel locomotives. That is why 108 trains were cancelled in July, mostly in the period from July 20 to 23, roughly 10 trains daily because we had only one available vehicle. Regarding the issuance of cards, it is possible that the cashier in Nis had no information that the train to Negotin was no longer running that day. Travelers will be reimbursed for their expenses - confirm "Serbian Railways".
