Jelena Djurdjevic (28) from Smederevska Palanka, was born with one kidney. Perica Vujovic (35) from Arilje wants to donate his kidney to Jelena even thought he does not know her, but just because his three-year son may need a heart transplant in the future.

Jelena did not know that she was born with one kidney until eight years ago, when she found out that she has a chronic renal failure. Two and a half years later, her condition became worse.

JUST LIKE IN THE MOVIES: Serbian doctors transported a heart at 280 km per hour in order to save four lives!

- In March I saw Jelena's video appealing for a donor on social media networks. I did not hesitate. My son Marko was diagnosed with dilated cardiomyopathy and we are continuously in fear that he will a need a new heart at some point - Perica says for "Blic".

Both have the same blood type (0+), but more analysis is necessary that would prove their coincidence. The fact that organ donation with people who are not related by blood is not permitted in Serbia does not pose a problem for Perica, because a transplant could be performed abroad, for example in Turkey.

- I've been on the waiting list for a year and a half, but so far no one from the hospital has contacted me. Probably because I have a rare blood type. In this agony, and desire to get better, I began to write appeals on Facebook. I have a child, who was born while I was healthy and that needs me - says Jelena.

After her appeals on social networks, she says she received messages from good people. Among them Perica.

- I cried with joy because I knew that there are such people even though certain people told me that people are not that generous. However, when I started asking around, I learned that a donor can only be a relative up to third generation - says Jelena.

She thought that Perica and her could petition the court to authorize a transplant.

- Organ donation, is the most humane act and what Perica wants to do is an act without precedent - said Dr. Dusan Milisavljević, MP which was addressed by Perica and Jelena for help. He added that he would discuss with the authorities to determine whether it is possible to change the regulations.
