There was a whole drama going on when Sanja Marjanović, who was going to have a baby, went from a small village of Prilike towards the maternity hospital in the city of Čačak.

With the help of police officers, despite the heavy storm, she arrived safely to the hospital where she gave birth to her son Andrija.

Everything happened yesterday afternoon, her water broke in the place called Ovčar banja, and the car driven by her husband Vidan was constantly breaking down due to freezing temperature and snow.

However, in those crucial moments a traffic police patrol from the city of Čačak helped them and the mother arrived safely to the hospital where she gave birth to her son Andrija.

- Our car was constantly breaking down on the way from the town of Požega towards Ovčar banja. We were freezing at the village Jelen do, my husband managed to fix the engine so that we could go on, but at Ovčar banja the car simply stopped. We were thinking of going to a monastery in search for help, or to call for a taxi, but we could not move. To make matters worse, my water broke at that moment - said Sanja Marjanović, mother of another child besides Andrija

At that moment, she added, a traffic police patrol car showed up and they helped them.

- I remember that the officer's name was Ivica Pašić, he was with another colleague whose name I cannot remember. They put us in their vehicle and I arrived at the hospital at the last moment - said Marjanović.
